For Employers

The Myers-Lawson School of Construction encourages employers to visit campus and meet our students in various ways. You will find that through our offerings mentioned below, you will focus your recruitment efforts. You are also welcome to visit www.career.vt.edu for additional campus recruiting.

Sponsorships

The School allows for special events and publications to be sponsored by industry supporters. This is a chance for companies to get their name out to students while at the same time providing financial support to our programs. Some of these sponsorships include but are not limited to tailgates, newsletters, student competitions and socials. Please contact Stephanie Randel at srandel@vt.edu if you are interested.

Career Fairs

The Construction Career Fairs, held twice a year during the Spring and Fall semesters, provide construction industry and engineering professionals the opportunity to meet students for career employment, summer internships, and co-op opportunities. Click here for information.

Information Sessions

If an employer is unable to attend our two career fairs, an information session is an option. These events are casual presentations usually occurring in the evening in an available classroom on campus. Employers traditionally buy pizza and drinks for students and hand out information about their company.
