Industry Classroom Lectures

Each semester, the Myers-Lawson School of Construction invites industry leaders into classrooms to teach a variety of topics to Building Construction, Civil Engineering, and Construction Engineering and Management students. Industry professionals partner with faculty to design lectures and workshops for students that complement classroom learning with authentic industry case studies. Faculty combine their knowledge of teaching and learning with industry representatives’ applied knowledge to create opportunities for students to better understand how their classroom learning applies to real problems in the construction industry. Past topics have included leading through project changes, challenges to estimating costs, site logistics, and construction ethics.
