Student Team Moves Forward in Race to Zero Competition

A group of graduate and undergraduate students from the Myers-Lawson School of Construction and the School of Architecture and Design teamed up to work on a Net Zero Elementary School project, which has been submitted to the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Race to Zero Student Design Competition.

Graduate Students Lead Sustainability Projects

The Virginia Tech Office of Sustainability, through their Green RFP program, awarded $13,500 funding to support sustainability initiatives of two Ph.D. students in Building Construction. 

Leadership class conducts STEM outreach

On Saturday, December 2nd, Myers-Lawson School of Construction Graduate Students hosted a “Stem Day of Play,” for local kindergartners. They were assigned the task of developing and executing a service project that benefited the local community by their professor of Leadership, Dr. Josh Iorio.

ASC Competition Winners

Twenty-five Myers Lawson School of Construction students recently competed at the 2017 ASC Student Competition in Peachtree City, GA.  These students were accompanied and supported by Bob Muir, Philip Agee, Rachelle Johnson and Lora Howard.
