Outreach Mission

To create and conduct programs that will grow people for the construction industry in concert with professional associations, community organizations and educators, while emphasizing our guiding principles of values-based leadership, integrating and sustaining the built environment and excellence in creative learning environments and research. To accomplish these goals the school offers continuing education programs and maintains a strong community presence.

Continuing Education

The Myers-Lawson School of Construction is developing a wide variety of continuing education programs motivated by our guiding principles. The courses within the program will focus upon personal growth, address the present and evolving needs of the construction industry, complement existing professional programs, educate through an exchange of ideas with both experienced faculty of the school and leaders in the construction industry and teach from a real world perspective.

Community Involvement

The Myers-Lawson School of Construction is committed to an active role in the education of the community about the exciting career opportunities construction has to offer. Goals of the program include partnerships with faculty in community colleges, high schools and middle schools to promote interest in construction careers through hands-on learning experiences. Additionally, the school encourages student engagement in activities that give back to the community while being good stewards of the construction profession.
