Missouri DOT Shies Away from Private Financing of its Mega Bridge Project in Wake of Credit Crisis

The Missouri Department of Transportation (DOT) declared on Thursday, September  18, its plans to scrap its  PPP venture  and finance a massive bridge project by issuing state bonds instead.

Competition for I-595 Continues to Narrow

Two consortia, led by Macquarie/ACS Dragados and Babcock & Brown/Bilfinger Berger, submitted proposals for Florida’s I-595 concession last Friday, September 5.  The $1.3B DBFOM project involves extensive improvements to ten miles of the highway in southeastern Florida, including addition of tolled reversible express lanes.
