VDOT Announces Sole Proposal for PPP Tunnel Project

Today the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) posted the sole conceptual proposal received in response to its Midtown Tunnel Corridor solicitation (see May 31 report below).  Although three firms had furnished Statements of Interest for the project in January 2005, a Skanska/Macquarie joint venture submitted the only proposal before last month’s deadline.
