
Dr. Dong Zhao is a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Myers-Lawson School of Construction at Virginia Tech. He has earned a Ph.D. in Environmental Design and Planning (Construction focus) from Virginia Tech and holds a certification of Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design (LEED) Accredited Professional from the U.S. Green Building Council. Dr. Zhao’s research interests lie in a broad area of built environment with focuses on construction safety and systems, construction risk analysis, and sustainable housing. He has authored more than thirty refereed scholarly publications in the area of architecture, engineering and construction. He also serves as a reviewer for more than ten international journals and conferences. Dr. Zhao has professional experience from a variety of construction projects across Asia and America.
